Wildlife Monitoring Overview
Visitors come to Costa Rica to experience the breathtaking natural environment, especially the amazing wildlife. Here in Guanacaste we boast a wide range of species including anteaters, ocelots, deer, armadillos, pumas, white-faced monkeys – just to name a few.
While it would be amazing to observe these animals in person in their habitats, for most of them, the chances of seeing many of them in the wild is slim to none. However, we have made it possible to experience these animals in another way: by using motion sensor camera technology we can capture high quality HD videos of these creatures in their natural state. Using this technology, you can still enjoy the beauty and intrigue of these incredible animals, which would otherwise be nearly impossible.
We use the latest camera trap technology to capture videos of wildlife, which are then sorted, edited and can be exported and uploaded to our website, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram or any other medium of our clients’ choosing.
Land Developers, Real Estate & Hotels
Are you a real estate agent looking to sell the beauty of nature to potential buyers? Are you a developer who wants know more about the biodiversity on your property? Are you a hotel or eco-lodge administrator looking for new ways to attract guests with videos of the incredible animals that live on your grounds? We can custom design a monitoring package to meet you and your clients’ needs, including maintaining an up to date to online database of your videos that can be shared on your website or social media or by creating high quality HD videos that can be shared in your reception or another common area of the hotel. We can even design a unique tour experience for your guests to learn firsthand about the science of wildlife monitoring using camera traps while taking a hike on your property.
Education
We create Wildlife and Technology education programs for schools, home school groups, and community-based organizations. Our programs are designed to inspire children to develop a passion for conservation while participating in fun and dynamic activities and field study. Our goal is to inspire the next generation of biologists.
Our educational collaborations have included La Paz Community School and the Matapalo Elementary School.
Research
We seek to partner with private refuges, researchers, national parks and government institutions to develop comprehensive wildlife monitoring programs throughout Costa Rica.
We have carried out collaborative monitoring investigations with the Área de Conservación Tempisque (ACT) and five of its national parks and protected areas.
